Aura-Soma and Dependency

Thursday, August 6th, 2009

In a recent class a student asked “What can I say to customers who say “Give me another of those bottles - without them my life gets so bad.” Is there a danger of dependency with Aura-Soma?” This question prompted the following thoughts for me.

Look within the sequence of Equilibrium. The first Master is El Morya – Pale Blue. Blue is the opposite colour to orange. It is in orange that dependency issues lie. The first Master is opposite to dependency issues. El Morya shines the light into the blue grasping tendency. It inspires the realisation “I need nothing to be at peace”.

Equally, B1, the first bottle (after the 0 which is the nothing before the something) is also a blue energy – Blue / Deep Magenta. It is a rescue for the blue. This is the Magician in the Tarot. It carries the message “Come to realise that what you say becomes true”. Knowing this you will no longer depend on anything outside. The power to create derives from the magenta that lies within. It is enough to say “I will be happy” or “I will be at peace.” No more dependency on external circumstances, no product or drug we need.

In both these significant places in Equilibrium we find a message that is the opposite of dependency. The Aura-Soma energies nourish the being within; the soul consciousness, which is our greater power. Just as a child growing up on earth needs support before it is ready to stand by itself, the growing of our soul consciousness within this physical world also benefits from nourishment in its first steps. As time passes then, whether with or without the support of the Aura-Soma products, we attain the consciousness of the colours and the strength of the light. The Aura-Soma way is a bridge to this state of freedom.

Numerology 1 - 171 Steps and the American Dream

Thursday, May 28th, 2009

I read the other day that The Statue of Liberty has 171 steps. Naturally my mind turned to Aura-Soma bottles. The 17 and the 1 stood out. That is The Star and The Magician in the Tarot Aura-Soma connection. The Statue of Liberty is a US icon and the original gateway for all immigrants in to this new world. I was therefore interested to see if the Equilibrium bottles fitted the USA in some way.

B1 and the American Dream

I have long connected B1 with the USA since the International Dialling Code for the States is + 1 and the Blue/Rescue seems very fitting with US values. I consider “the American Dream” to be a defining US value, and the B1 with its rescue for blue providses the energy to declare (throat chakra) your dream and make it a reality. This is the power of The Magician.

B17 and Freedom

The Star B17 precedes the 1 (171) in this way of looking. The Star also supports the idea of “Live your truth anf follow your dream”. The path of The Star is on the male side of the Tree of Life, the side which that favours flow and freedom, the side connected to the energy of the Father. Again these are all very key themes in the US psyche: The Founding Fathers, and the Bill of Rights that guarantees freedoms. The Star resonates with the freedom to travel (flow) West (through the Wild West - again freedom) and find your fortune.

Conclusion …

All in all, the 171 steps of the Statue of Liberty, taken as the 17 and the 1, seem to resonate very strongly with the values and themes of the USA.

And still there is an alternative view of the 171. A view ultimately more consistent with numerology practice. And as i write now a view that is a perfect complement to the above view. Read about it in the next blog coming very soon …

Japan and Aura-Soma

Tuesday, May 19th, 2009

I am often asked why is Aura-Soma so popular in Japan. Here is a thought. Some of the ideas beneath are not held be everybody in Japan, and Japan is changing. Nevertheless i think the ideas are true to the traditional Japanese way of life which all Japanese have been born into. The idea is inspired by some stonework i was admiring while staying in Kyoto earlier this month. I was on the edge of the city on a hillside close to the forest - the area has a traditional look. Here is the wall.

Every stone fits in Japan

Every stone fits in Japan

These are not small stones! You will notice that every stone is uniquely shaped, retaining some originality. Yet as a whole this wall is tightly knit. If a stone were removed another could not be easily found to replace it. This says several important things about Japanese society.

First it says that great care has been taken in building this wall. Each stone has been placed with care and attention to detail, small adjustments have been made at the edges to ensure a tight fit. These are magenta qualities: care and attention to detail.

It would be much easier and quicker to mass-produce regularly shaped bricks. But in Japan things are valued for their unique quality. Originality of form is prized, respect for each other is paramount. I once asked a Japanese friend if she would wear a brace to change her teeth. She replied that teeth were a gift from her parents and should be respected as such. The wall is more important than the stone! No stone in the wall requires another to be different, each is accommodated as it is, or at least the chipping away happened so long ago that now there is no memory of things being any other way. This gives greatstrength to society, yet, at the same time, it is impossible for any stone to move without upsetting the whole.

This is true of individuals in Japanese society. They live in cities of millions and millions. Any day at any hour almost every train is full. People moving together. People are expected to give a huge amount to work: traditionally you should not go home if your boss is still in the office. Everyone should know their position in society and bow to everyone else accordingly. So where is the space for the individual? Not much on the outside is the answer. “The nail that sticks up will be hammered down” is a traditional Japanese proverb.

But here is where Aura-Soma has something to offer. It presents a non intrusive, gentle, private way to nurture and explore your inner world. You may not be free outside, but you can grow inside. Come to know your inner shape better; like the stone in the wall, find your uniqueness and bring it to life with consciousness. Mike Booth used to like to talk about making pots, that every so often a pot would be made under his hands on the wheel that seemed to sing. It had an inner quality of aliveness. Aura-Soma helps to bring that aliveness to each individual life, and in Japan, that has a very high value indeed.

Quantum Science, Aura-Soma, and Creating Reality

Friday, February 20th, 2009

This article is based on a tremendously inspiring film entitled “What the Bleep do we know?” The film explores the nature of reality, quantum physics and human potential. I believe in the future quantum theory will offer us keys to understand more deeply the potential and workings of Aura-Soma.

Soul Presence Alchemy - Gift of a Solar Eclipse

Wednesday, December 3rd, 2008

This item follows on from the ideas in the article entitled “The Value of Simplicity”. It explains more of my underlying view on the potential of th Aura-Soma Consultation. An understanding i reached during  a  course i taught during the occasion of a solar eclipse.

Last autumn in Japan one particular course I was presenting led me to a deeper view of the simple way in consultations. It was stimulated by the presence on this course of a lady who was having difficulty with accepting the Aura-Soma consultation. She came from a more traditional problem-solving counselling tradition; for a consultation to be effective the majority of attention had to be given to the problem. Try as I might (and I did with my second example consultation) I could not engage with the example students’ problems in a way that satisfied this particular student. This led to some soul searching for me that evening. However the following morning in feedback the striking thing was that both the students who had received consultations reported that they felt considerably different about the subject that had come up, deeply healed one could say, the first student indeed said that she felt free of this particular issue we had explored for the first time on 10 years. It was a great learning experience for me because, although challenging, it helped me to find a deeper articulation of the potential of Aura-Soma.

The Alchemy of Consciousness

By the end of the course my sense was that the healing that can come from the Aura-Soma consultation is ultimately not something that the practitioner gives the client, it is not something that occurs at the mental level between the practitioner and the client and it is not in the information that is shared per se. My conclusion at the end of this course was that the Aura-Soma consultation gives the opportunity for the gold within the person, and by that I mean a soul energy, the soul presence, to join with their personality story, the layers of consciousness that they habitually inhabit. The consultation, the selection of four bottles, is the opportunity for the client to receive an impulse from the soul level; and that this soul level, which I consider a golden energy, provides an alchemical moment. It can be likened to when water reaches a seed within the earth. The water enters the seed and something happens within the seed. A process is initiated which changes the content of the seed from a hard inert material into a growing living thing; something which opens from the inside. The waters interact with the material of the seed and life begins.

I feel it is that life process which the soul of the client, through the agency of their Aura-Soma colour selection, can trigger within the consciousness of the client during a consultation. I see the recommendations of Equilibrium, Pomander, Quintessence, Colour Essence etc. being as the water and nutrients that nourish this alchemical process, supporting the seed to grow, to become a reality in the client’s consciousness and life, and more than something that was merely talked about during a 90 minute consultation.

A different order of light

The interesting thing is that this course which stimulated this deeper view occurred during the period of a significant solar eclipse (October 2005). In my understanding a solar eclipse is an event that allows something new to be sown into world consciousness. A solar eclipse precipitates a moment of potential that is out of the normal order of things. Normally this state of potential occurs at night, in the hours of darkness. It is the time when generally speaking we sleep, we dream, the time we experience thoughts and emotions in a way that is less defined and controlled by our ego.

During a solar eclipse the moon creates a shadow of darkness that falls across the earth like a scar, gouging a space of nothingness in the biosphere. Into this nothingness (that would normally arise only when we are collectively asleep) a new seed can be sown directly into daily consciousness. That this course and new view coincided with the solar eclipse suggested to me that the opportunity offered by this world event was one of accessing a deeper state of being. Yellow ego meeting soul gold; that the Aura-Soma consultation is one way for this meeting to take place. This meeting of ego with soul results in the ego consciousness receiving an alchemical jolt, like water entering a seed; and from this meeting something new can grow in the person’s consciousness.

The role of the practitioner

As a practitioner I do not, and I believe should not, seek to stand between the person and their soul. What I can do is be an observer to the process, offering a helpful intention and a loving, open attention to the meeting. Often this meeting happens by- the-by, nearly always the consciousness of the client is focused on a story in their life, and yet still I believe the soul presence has come closer to the surface within them during this process. This is another way of saying what has been in the training from the beginning. The greater guide is within each person. Aura-Soma supports people to take responsibility for their own life. The soul has its own wisdom, it doesn’t need the knowledge of Aura-Soma. It is a simple thing, and in simplicity is great potential

Teacher Level 2 2008

Sunday, September 21st, 2008

Today is the first day of the Teacher Level 2 here at Dev Aura. It is a beautiful morning. Slightly hazy, soft sunlight, an autumn day to make up for the summer we missed here in England this year. A day of light and warmth.

There will be 60 people on the course and i am looking forward to it. For me it is a resit and an opportunity to deepen relationships and to learn more about teaching potential and energy dynamics of larger classes, as well as meet the latest ideas at tools to use at this level.

The two previous Teacher Level 2 courses that stand out for me are the original one  presented in a huge pink and white tent near Lincoln, a week of storms, ropes straining and canvas flapping in the wind, but also one evening meditation of great laughter and a feeling of good times shared, that now i am away from the big courses i miss. The other course was last June in Switzerland, up in the mountains surrounded by giants. It was a huge ball room this time, enormous windows onto the mountains and valley, with pillars at either end of the room - making an 11:11.  Similar to the pink white of the first course as the colours of B11 are clear pink. In the opening session exploring the purpose and potential of Level 2 the theme of committment came up. Students going on to Level 2 are willing to go deeper with themselves, beyond the honeymooon of Level 1 to also face the challenges and shadow that always accompanies the light. B11 Clear / Pink is the conception bottle and in coming to earth we necessarily meet both sides of life.  My strong impression there was that through one set of pillars at one end of the room we all entered as students, at the far end or the room was the top of the class and the bottles, and here Aura-Soma entered the room. Two worlds meeting, an opportunity for magic and healing to take place.

Lets see what today and this course brings.
