Numerology with Aura-Soma
This consultation was given as an example at the end of a Level 2 course in 2006. It shows the way that the numbers on the equilibrium bottles can complement and deepen the exploration of a client’s themes. It also includes ideas on the three tendencies which is another important subject within the Aura-Soma Level 2 course. In real consultations I favour a more interactive process in which the client is able to contribute more to the process. Nevertheless there was a strong energy of presence and meaningfulness in this consultation which, as the client said afterwards, had given her very much to think about.
Her selection was:
32 Royal Blue / Gold
83 Turquoise / Gold
66 Pale Violet / Pale Pink
97 Gold / Royal Blue
Before looking at the numbers I took a quick look at the colours …
Most striking was the relationship between the 1st and the 4th bottles: a colour reversal from Royal Blue / Gold to Gold / Royal Blue. Also notable was the colour similarity between the 1st and 2nd bottles: both predominantly blue over gold combinations. In 32 it is a little red with blue making royal blue, in 83 a little yellow with blue making turquoise.
This observation increased the significance of the next, namely that in the 4th, 97, it is the yellow which comes to predominate in the upper fraction. The mainly yellow 83, once the gift is revealed from the challenge, leads to a yellow emergence in her future.
Then we noted that between the 32 and the 97 is first a predominantly yellow bottle: Turquoise / Gold, and then a predominantly red bottle, Pale Violet / Pink. (At this point I placed Kuthumi (51) and Lady Nada (52) behind the 2nd and 3rd bottles respectively to mark this feature.) To achieve this colour reversal from 1st to 4th the client experiences first a yellow process and then a red one. The red process being emphasised in the here and now by the fact that number 66 is a double 6 and 6 is the Red / Red bottle.
At this point I briefly explored a couple of related colour / bottle themes. First with Open Sesame I introduced the idea of the incarnational star; that in Open Sesame it is the incarnational star which is being revealed from within the cave of the body, able to shine into the world. I further noted the incarnational star’s relationship to the soul star above the head, saying that this is a gold / magenta connection. In this respect I noted that her 3rd bottle, 66, shakes to pale magenta; furthermore it appears between 65 Violet / Red and 67 Magenta / Magenta in the Equilibrium sequence - obviously part of a larger pattern there. I also drew down the 78 at this point, a bottle known to be transformative to the base chakra, and place it next to the 6 Red / Red that was already with the 66. I showed that the 66 is clearly present within the 78. We also noticed the Star Child quality of 66, particularly its resonance with 58 Orion and Angelica, the Pale Blue / Pale Pink combination which is the intense version of the Star Child.
At this point we returned to the number colour themes and it began to get more exciting. I noticed that behind the 83 is the 11, Clear / Pink, and behind the 66 is the 12 Clear / Blue. These two together make the Orion and Angelica (58) which is hidden in the 66. Furthermore I noted that the Clear / Blue behind 66 in the 3rd position is preparing for the blue to appear in her selection for the first time in her 4th bottle 97. It seemed that as much as this was a journey of bringing the yellow up, it was equally a journey of bringing the blue down. (This yellow over blue theme became important later on the consultation when we looked at the 83 again.)
Up to this moment everything had been opening possibilities, growing in interest and excitement as it went, but still the pattern had not yet emerged. It was only when I brought down the 16 Violet / Violet which is behind the 97 that things began to fall in to place. It struck me that 16 represents a relationship between the 1 and the 6, which in Aura-Soma terms means the Blue / Deep Magenta and the Red / Red. These two were reminiscent of the 11 and the 12 next to each other behind the 2nd and 3rd bottles. In this instance I put the 1 and the 6 together in the following way. I said the 1 is the Self that establishes the blueprint. It therefore represents what we have chosen and what we want. This choice is made from a higher level, (this is perhaps related to the subject of the incarnational and soul stars that came up between 83 and 66 earlier), and it is often the case that the choice made when we are above does not seem so attractive when we face it from our lower self in the body with all its conditionings and tendencies. I was in mind of something Mike Booth liked to say many years ago when discussing what we want and don’t want, “Faith can move mountains, but when you have faith you no longer want to move the mountain because you realise it is what you already chose.” Faith is the blue and the mountain is the red - that which we resist; and at a deeper level the red is not so much the thing we resist as the rejecting tendency itself. It increasingly seemed that the theme of the reading was some process between blue and red: her likes and her dislikes; and that the golden experience in the base of 83 represented some new level of consciousness whereby she would this theme differently.
As this was a demonstration of numbers in a reading rather than a true consultation, the chooser had been given little opportunity to speak. The one thing she had said was that the important point in her life at present was to do more of what she liked. The idea I was coming to was related in theme to her statement but challenging to her stance on it. Nevertheless I felt a lot of energy for this emerging view and I decided to go with it as an alternative offering to her.
What really excited me then was noticing the number of the 1st bottle: 32. Here we see a 2 on the inside, representing a duality – and what could be more polarised than the yes and the no of the blue and the red? This 2 is coming to the 3 in the world though, and 3 is flow and resolution, something that moves beyond the polarity of yes and no. I put it to her that the Open Sesame of her 2nd position could be a change of perspective on the things in her life. That she could see all the situations in her life as opportunities, equally fulfilling to her at a soul level. That this was a deeper truth than the tendency to choose likes over dislikes – which was the theme shown by the blue over red in the first three bottles. It is in the 3rd that the red is allowed to come up again into the conscious mind and join the blue, it is here that there can be a healing acceptance of her rejecting tendency, and a chance for transmutation.
With this potentially new relationship to her dislikes in the present, then the 7 - the Yellow / Green, which is hidden behind the 97 / 16 of her 4th position, shows her potential for the future – to flow with life, to allow and respond to what life brings her; to move from being an “afraid” yellow wanting to avoid the “bad” to a “happy” yellow seeing opportunities in everything. At this point her view of life was potentially being turned upside down. (The 12 behind the 66 in the 3rd position is the Hanged Man in the Tarot). There she was saying I want to do more of what I like, and there I was saying change your mind, go beyond like and dislike, everything is an opportunity.
As always the 2nd bottle holds the key. The predominant energy of yellow running through the whole bottle indicating that the seed of the problem was to do with the way she understood the situation (yellow is how we digest and make sense of things). The presence of the blue over red showed the hidden “No” under her “Yes” and revealed the sense of resistance within her. Another of Mike’s phrases that comes to mind now as I write this is “The only way you can get off the cross is by being on it.” In other words only when we accept difficulties can we learn to relate to them in a new way, only through this inner change can we become truly free. The hidden Clear / Pink behind 83 in her 2nd position is the intense form of the Christ bottle and so makes this sentence particularly fitting here.
Looking at 83 numerically. The 3 which is her heart is asked the question by Anubis 8: “Have you lived your life truly? Is your heart light?” This is exactly her aim, to achieve a lightness of heart, only she is being asked to expand her view. Not to choose some things and reject others. There is a justice in the universe and all that appears is for our growth. In this the things we dislike are as important as the things we like. The 3 on the inside is asking her to open her heart to the whole of life.
The 8 then shows that all polarities flow. In a way the 8 is another form of the Yin Yang symbol. Each half flows into its opposite. Nothing is fixed and all flows. As she opens her heart likes and dislikes dance with each other, her life flows as she comes into a greater harmony with the universe.
The 8 also shows the connection between above and below. One expression of this is the soul star above in harmony with the incarnational star below. This was discussed previously with magenta in 66 and gold in 83. The gift of Turquoise / Gold could be seen as the inner teacher within her that is the doorway through which the magenta from above leads to the gold below. The inner teacher is equal to all situations whether “good” or “bad.” As this awareness becomes more conscious within her then the golden wisdom of her incarnational star will be able to impact life as she responds to life in a new way. Open Sesame.
