your description reminds me at heaven on earth. The man in the straight position is like a channel between heaven and earth. he brings both together. It is like a wholeness and a unity.
With red you can feel the material snow and the consistency, but with the pink you can comprehend and feel the soul of snow, and both together leads to this wholeness again.
There is a book/movie "Smillas sense of snow", and this movie shows the importance about understanding and to feel the soul of the snow.
